Welcome to Tempest Freerunning Academy

Tempest Freerunning Academy is California’s first and only training facility solely dedicated to the growth and spread of freerunning and parkour.
Video Thumb

Developed by the founders of Team Tempest and X-Games course designer Nate Wessel, our facility offers a real-world environment where you can learn everything from the basics of parkour to the advanced maneuvers and tricks of freerunning.

At Tempest Freerunning Academy, you get nothing but the best. Our coaches are real, working freerunning professionals with years of training and experience in film, TV and live events. Beyond that, they're part of the Tempest Freerunning family who wants nothing more than to bring freerunning to the masses, and most likely, be your new best friends.

Through hard work and creativity, The Academy guarantees we’ll challenge you to push further than you ever have before and experience Tempest’s signature ideal: Tru Freedom.

New Class for 6- to 8-Year-Olds

"Our inaugural class of Tadpoles has grown since their first day!"

The Tempest Tadpoles, our class for kids aged 6-8, now has an additional meeting time on Tuesdays at 4 p.m.

The original class time on Thursdays at 4 p.m. is still in-effect. But, The Academy had to expand times because the class was full.

Tadpoles focus on building confidence and foundational skills necessary to continue further growth in the disciplines of parkour and freerunning. Guided by our gentle and encouraging coaches, Tadpoles learn to perform moves and skills in the safe environment of our gym.

Interested in having your own tadpole join our class? Reserve your spot on our scheduler or give us a call at (818) 717-0525.

Through Your Eyes: The Academy

Every now and then, we get the privilege of getting to not only see Academy students achieve their goals, but go beyond simply executing a trick to making it their own. Freerunning is about self-expression, and our students are artists in their movements and around the gym.

Celebrating self-expression, we grabbed some of our favorite snapshots of life at Tempest Freerunning Academy – captured by you. Thanks for sharing The Academy through your eyes – enjoy!
