Dear TMPST Family,
At Tempest Freerunning Academy, the health and safety of our Members, Guests and their Families is our number one priority. While we realize we cannot eliminate all health risks of COVID-19 virus, and it is important you ultimately make your own determination regarding personal health and safety concerns, I want to directly communicate with you the health and safety plan we are implementing at all of our Tempest facilities.
We are daily monitoring the latest recommendations from the World Health Organization as well as the local and national health authorities and closely following their lead by implementing the best practices to keep our members as safe as possible. We are diligently monitoring these practices and we are confident, with proper precautions, we can continue to offer normal TFA business hours.
Following are a series of precautions that Tempest is currently implementing at all of our locations:
Extended Make-up Policy: If you need to miss classes or wish to freeze your membership, we will provide unlimited make up classes for all missed sessions during this time period. If you have a scheduled Birthday Party and wish to make changes to your planned event, please let us know and we will be more than accommodating.
Hand Sanitation Stations – We are adding additional hand washing stations for our members to use before, during and after their classes. We will request members be vigilant about using these stations prior to entrance and when using the restrooms to be sure to wash their hands with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds. If carrying a cell phone we also encourage thorough cleaning of those devices.
Increased Facility Sanitation Plan – We’ve always taken the cleanliness of our facilities seriously. In addition to our normal facility cleanings, our on-duty staff is disinfecting our facilities’ high touch points including bars, mats, blocks and other shared surfaces areas at regular frequencies throughout the day and each evening.
Adherence to Scheduled Classes- We ask that you adhere to your scheduled class times and that parents not drop athletes off for extended periods that are either before or after their scheduled appointments. Please honor a 70-minute maximum policy. We also ask that athletes refrain from playing before class and other non-supervised activities on our obstacles during this time.
Private Session Flexibility – Due to school outages and other group activities that may be closed, we understand that Tempest could be a great outlet for athletes to do something productive. If you'd like to inquire within about additional time in our facility please reach out to our front office staff by phone and we will be happy to give you additional info on what we can safely accommodate.
Let’s Work Together – To look out for the safety of all our members, we are asking parents and members to help us with these efforts. We are requesting parents to keep kids home and not attend sessions if there are any signs of being sick. If our staff observe athletes showing flu-like symptoms, we may ask that they go home and wait until they are well. We ask that you please not take this personal as we would rather take extra caution for our customer’s safety. We promise to be extremely accommodating for those who may miss any classes by offering ample make-ups and testing opportunities for missed sessions during this period of time.
Additionally, we encourage all of our Members, Guests, and their Families to stay healthy and safe using the following best practices: Work out, eat well, hydrate, and get plenty of sleep every day—and don’t forget to get outside, the sun is a natural source of wellness. Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly for 20 seconds at a time and use at least 60% alcohol-based hand sanitizer when soap and water are not available (you’ll find an extra station in the facilities). When you cough or sneeze cover your mouth with a tissue or use your inner elbow when tissues are not available, then wash your hands afterward. If you do not feel well or have any cold or flu like symptoms please stay home as we all look after each other and keep everyone as safe as possible. For additional recommendations, please review the CDC website. We are genuinely thankful for everyone of our members and their families. This is a complicated and challenging time and it is important that we are all focused on looking out for one another. If you have any further questions or comments, please feel free to reach out to your local TFA front office.
Sincerely,
Gabriel Nunez
